The Energy Eye 300 SCT from MachineSens IoT is a set of clamp-on, split-core current transformers for electrical monitoring. They install around a conductor without disconnecting the circuit, use a UL94-V0 housing and come in three series covering 5A to 600A. They supply current data to Energy Eye meters and the BuildOT One platform.

| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Measures | Current on the monitored conductor |
| L-Series | 5A to 120A |
| T-Series | 5A to 600A |
| H-Series | 5A to 160A |
| Housing | UL94-V0 |
| Mounting | Clamp-on, split-core |
| Platform | BuildOT One energy module |
What the Split-Core Current Transformer does
- Installs without shutdown. The split-core design clamps around a conductor, so circuits stay live and in service.
- Covers many sizes. Three series span small branch circuits up to 600A feeders.
- Suits retrofits. Add metering to existing boards where cutting cables is not an option.
- Uses a flame-retardant housing. UL94-V0 housing material suits electrical panels.
- Pairs with Energy Eye meters. Use with the panel and DIN rail meters for full circuit visibility.
Where it is used
Typical uses include retrofit sub-metering in older offices, villas, schools, hotels and malls across the UAE and GCC, where downtime is costly and wiring changes are hard to approve. It also suits temporary measurement during energy audits.
Works with BuildOT One
Current data reaches the Energy and Utilities module through an Energy Eye meter. Results from retrofit projects can be checked in the Measurement and Verification module. See the sustainability product range and the full Energy Eye range. Pair with the Energy Eye 300 PDM or the Energy Eye Rogowski coil MRC series. For single phase boards, see the Energy Eye Single Phase meter.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to switch off the circuit to install it?
No. Split-core transformers clamp around the conductor, so you do not need to disconnect it.
Which series should I choose?
Choose by the current you expect. L-Series covers 5A to 120A, H-Series 5A to 160A and T-Series 5A to 600A.
What do the transformers connect to?
They supply current signals to an Energy Eye meter, which sends data on to BuildOT One.
