About MachineSens IoT
MachineSens IoT is a Dubai-based company that builds wireless sensors, controllers and the BuildOT One cloud platform for smart buildings. Its devices use LoRaWAN and a proprietary NRF protocol to retrofit existing buildings without new cabling. A typical building goes live in about 30 days, usually at 30 to 40% less cost than a wired BMS.

Our founder
Dr. Alaa Ahmad founded MachineSens IoT after more than eight years as Senior Facilities and Services Manager at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, where he led the smart campus transformation. He saw the same problem in building after building: the equipment was worth monitoring, but rewiring it for a traditional BMS was slow, disruptive and expensive. MachineSens was built to close that gap.
