Hosting on AWS
BuildOT One is a cloud platform hosted on AWS. MachineSens runs it following AWS security best practice, so the same building blocks that protect many of the world’s online services also protect your building data.
Secure wireless sensors
MachineSens sensors connect over LoRaWAN (EU868) through Edge Lite and Edge Pro gateways. LoRaWAN encrypts every message with AES-128 keys at two levels: one key protects the network link, and a separate key protects the application data, so a gateway passes messages on without reading what they contain. Devices are set up following LoRaWAN security best practice.
You own your data
The data from your sensors, meters and controllers belongs to you. That includes readings, alarms, reports and the results of AI analysis. MachineSens uses it to run the services you have asked for.
AI you can trust
BuildOT One’s AI features, such as BuildOT Copilot, run on MachineSens Local AI, powered by GPT models. The AI works on your building data to answer questions, explain alarms and suggest actions, and the results stay part of your data.
Frequently asked questions
Where is BuildOT One hosted?
BuildOT One is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and run following AWS security best practice.
Who owns the data collected by MachineSens sensors?
