The Differential Pressure Sensor from MachineSens IoT is a wall-mounted sensor that measures the pressure difference across HVAC systems, filters and ventilation paths to detect clogged filters. It connects over LoRaWAN or Wi-Fi, and sends readings to the BuildOT One platform for alerts and trend analysis.

| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Measures | Differential pressure |
| Connectivity | LoRaWAN (EU868), Wi-Fi |
| Mounting | Wall mounted |
| Platform | BuildOT One |
What the Differential Pressure Sensor does
- Detects clogging. A rising pressure drop across a filter shows it is loading with dust.
- Replaces calendar changes. Change filters when the reading says so, not on a fixed date.
- Protects airflow. Catching restriction early helps fans work less hard and keeps ventilation steady.
- Reports wirelessly. No signal cabling back to a controller.
Where it is used
Air handling units, fan coil systems, ducts and clean areas in offices, hospitals, schools, malls and hotels. Dust is a constant issue in UAE and GCC buildings, so filters load faster than many planners expect.
Works with BuildOT One
- Predictive Center flags filters nearing replacement.
- FM360 schedules and records the filter change.
- Air Quality and Wellbeing links filter condition to indoor air results.

Frequently asked questions
Where is it installed?
Across a filter bank, coil or duct section, mounted on a wall or nearby surface.
Why measure pressure instead of changing filters on a schedule?
Filters clog at different speeds depending on dust load. Measuring pressure lets you change them at the right time.
How does it connect?
Over LoRaWAN or Wi-Fi to the BuildOT One platform.
