The Pulse Asset+ is a low-power long-range wireless condition monitoring sensor that uses LoRaWAN® technology to provide a comprehensive asset monitoring solution to maximize the life of assets by identifying inefficiencies in the equipment operation. Designed with IP65 protection and Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) technology makes Pulse Asset+ ideal for cost effective centralized monitoring and analysis of critical assets such as pumps, motors, fans, compressors, HVAC systems and others,
Wireless Instrumentation
Pulse Asset+ is integrated with an ARM Cortex-M4 processor, LoRa transceiver, 3-axis accelerometer, acoustic emission sensor, temperature & humidity sensor. The sensor uses a star network topology and features a gateway that relays data between sensors and the LoRaWAN application server. The communication between the sensors and gateway happens wirelessly, utilizing the LoRa physical layer, while the connection between the gateways and the central server is handled over the MQTT protocol to the application server.
Multiple measurements, 1 Sensor
Pulse Asset+ measures different parameters for reliable asset condition monitoring including Triaxial vibration, Acoustic emission, Angular velocity, Temperature and Humidity. It can also calculate more complex eigenvalues itself, such as VRMS, ARMS, Peak, Displacement, Kurtosis, Crest factor, Skewness, and Standard Deviation values. With its edge computing capability, the Pulse-CM230 can balance the load between the sensor, gateway, and cloud service.
Scalability
Pulse Asset+ is designed for easy setup and operation for a quick deployment and scale up asset reliability program. The plug-and-play sensors comes with two 3.6-volt AA battery holders, LPWAN technology and has a 2-year battery life cycle based on a once-per-hour data update interval.
